Overview

The Certificate in Service Operations aims to equip Service Leaders with the skills to operationalise and implement service excellence for their organisation.

Entry Pre-requisites

  • Completed PSLE or its equivalent

  • Able to listen and speak simple phrases in English / Mandarin

  • Able to read, write and interpret simple instructions in English / Mandarin

 

Course Structure

Interact with customer and handling conflict management

 

This module covers the fundamental elements of quality, professional customer service. This module helps to educate the students about ways to communicate effectively and the actions that need to be taken in dealing with conflict.

Maintain Service Environment

 

This module on maintaining service environment strongly enhances one’s knowledge in executing daily essential operational procedures to achieve business goals.

Provide Safety and Security for Guests

 

This module aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to provide safety and security for guests.

Deliver Service Excellence

 

This module aims to equip participants with the skills in delivering service excellence and applying it to their organisation.

Delivery method

We use a number of experiential methods of learning in this module:

  • Lectures

  • Experiential learning and practical role-plays

  • Real life examples and group discussions

 

Assessment

Participants are required to undertake assessments which may take the form of:

  • Practical case study

  • Role-plays

  • Oral questions

 

Duration

1 Month (32 hrs), weekdays: 10am to 6pm

 

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded with a Certificate in Service Operations issued by Guilford Training Centre. Participants are deemed to have successfully completed the course if they meet the competency standards for each of the four units in the course outline above.
